I'm a writer and Democratic activist who has worked in politics since 2001.
I worked at the Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton's first presidential campaign (we lost), and a wide variety of campaigns, labor unions, and progressive nonprofits. I've worked in communications, new media, and speechwriting.
I also write frequently about politics, most often at Rolling Stone. I've also written for The Guardian, The Week, U.S. News & World Report, and others. I occasionally write humor pieces, like these for the Toast.
I live in Washington, D.C. with my wife and two kids.
