Since 2001, Jesse Berney has provided a voice online for a wide array of Democratic and progressive officials and surrogates. He has worked for the Democratic National Committee, the AFL-CIO, and Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

At the DNC, he was a key member of the team that revamped the committee's technology under Chairman Terry McAuliffe and grew the DNC's list of online activists from 70,000 to more than 1 million.

Jesse served as Internet editor on Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, starting with the campaign's online launch in January 2007. He wrote virtually all of the national messages to Hillary's online supporters, helping to raise nearly $100 million over the course of the campaign.

After the campaign, Jesse formed Jefferson Street Strategies, an Internet strategy, communications, and fundraising consulting firm, using his experience and skill as one of the best email writers in the business for progressive organizations and campaigns.

Jesse lives with his wife Jennie and daughter Isabel in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of St. John's College in Annapolis and previously worked as an editor for several technology-related print and web publications in San Francisco.
